Wow, if we really understood that going into Iraq. Just maybe we would have thought a little more about it?
Did anyone ever think that Iraq would become an erector set? Shock and Awe was fun, wasn’t it? Not to me . . . I wanted nothing to do with any war. Now we live under the knife, no matter what we do, we have paid for our bed with blood. To pull out . . . What if Iraq fails without our presence? But then how many have to die?
They say, We can’t let that happen, for oh so many reasons. Most will agree, yet it is hard to watch one more soldier die . . . To watch one more mom or dad lose their sons, their daughters.
And in the end, the war may be righteous, but I for one will never believe it was worth the price.
